After defeating Li Zhe 6p in the Challenger
decision match (best-of-3, Weijie 2-1), Jiang Weijie 5p will now face Gu Li 9p
in the Title Match (the final is best-of-5).
Jiang Weijie won the Chinese National
Go Individual tournament last year. He is now, at the age of eighteen, challenging
one of the strongest players in the world, Gu Li, for the 23rd Mingren
(the Chinese “Meijin” Title).
For the record, Gu Li has won six
editions of the Mingren in a row since 2004 (including 2010).
The 23rd Mingren Title
match will be very exciting!
